Just got the word about season tickets.

I haven't been around in a while because I left TX and moved to Maryland for a new job. The downside is a pretty big upheaval for the fam but the upside is I can finally get and USE season tickets. Ticket office called me today and I got my 4 tix.
I've got a regular tailgate at the Beav but I'd love to buy some beers for BSD'ers this fall. Somebody pick a game, find a spot and I'll bring the lager.

My father-in-law fnally got in for season tickets. he had 52 points. got 2 seats.
lucky for me i got in last year…unlucky for me, i’m in the second to last row in the stadium…still a good view.

So PSU is charging everyone’s Credit Cards that put in for tickets. However, that doesn’t mean you got tickets. The NLC said they won’t know that answer until mid June.
So be aware that just because the card was charged does not mean you got seats….YET

Did you talk to the NLC?
Just curious, because the application stub says “If your season ticket order cannot be accomodated, your credit card will not be charged.” I guess if everyone’s charges are actually “pending” they haven’t technically charged you, but seems goofy for them to do it that way.

Father-in-law called the NLC. His CC was charged, so he wanted to see where his seats were. they explained that this year they are just charging all of the cards and if you can’t get seats, they are going to pull the charge back.
Very odd to do if you ask me. That gets a lot of peoples hopes up.

Depending on how you handle
your personal finances, it could also result in credit card finance charges just becasue the NLC can’t find a more efficient method of alloting season tickets.

or just put it on as a pending charge? I think there’s a difference…
in related news, had a similar problem a couple years ago with some away game tickets. The check cleared on a friend’s father’s account, so we didn’t bother trying to get tickets elsewhere, and actually passed up face value tickets. Then they refunded the money because we didn’t have the point total, or whatever, and had to wind up buying scalped tickets for about 2X the cost.

I talked to NLC
I forgot to put the cc expiration date on the form so they called. Their story was that I had tix but the seats weren’t going to be assigned till June/July.

So let me get this straight, they charged my checking account the $850 but that doesn’t mean I have tickets yet?
I have 57 points and am curious to know if I got them or not. Can anyone verify what the point cutoff is for this year? Any rumors? I see above someone said something about 52 pts?
