Indiana over Michigan; Indiana will upset Michigan in their conference season opener. I think that Indiana's offense is going to surprise a lot of people, and their defense will improve to be at least somewhat respectable and allow them to hang in some games. I believe Michigan to be very similar to Indiana in both these regards, but this will be a bit of a trap game for Michigan, coming off two straight wins after two opening losses and then Michigan State as the next game following Indiana.
Michigan over Iowa; This game is sandwiched between what will be an emotional game against Penn State and then Wisconsin. Both of which could contend for one of the BCS bowl games that everyone seems to have already awarded to Ohio State and Iowa. I believe Michigan will catch Iowa looking ahead when they come to Ann Arbor, particularly if the wolverines lose to Indiana and / or Michigan State.
Penn State over Iowa; This may be a bit of wishful thinking here, but I just can't believe that Penn State will pass on the chance to ruin Iowa's chance at a national title game shot, since Iowa did it to Penn State two years in a row.
Iowa over Ohio State; This will be Iowa's opportunity to get back into the Big Ten title hunt and they won't miss it. Ohio State will be cruising at this point and will look past Iowa to Michigan.
Purdue over Michigan; I love Purdue and think they will be competitive in almost every game this year, though their record will not likely show it. Michigan at Purdue right before their season ending bouts with Wisconsin and Ohio State just seems like a good set up.
Wisconsin over Ohio State; I think Wisconsin is still smarting over that last minute drive by the Buckeyes two years ago that led to a blowout by Penn State in 2008. I believe they are looking forward to retribution.
Penn State / Alabama; I'm not going to go out on a limb and predict that the Nits will win this one, but I don't think it will be the blowout everyone else seems to think. I t think the game will be a lot closer and could be a bit of a high scoring game. I believe that if the game is within one score going into the fourth quarter, Penn State has an excellent chance to win it.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
