I looked this up this evening, I was interested.  Nick Saban recently signed a contract extension that keeps him at the University of Alabama through at least 2014.  His salaries;

2008 - 3.75 Million

2009 - 3.9 Million

2010 - 4.1 Million

2011 - 4.15 Million

2012-2014 - 4.2 Million

That's dollars per year,

Why doesn't the Univesity of Alabama have a soccer team for men or women?  Or a Men's Volleyball team?  Or Wresling?  Or Field Hockey?

Alabama certainly has a fine football team, and one hell of a coach.  But it seems unfair to me that a school can allow so much money to be spent on a football coach while ignoring sports like soccer.  I think dumping money into a football program is fine, so long as there is a trickle down through the athletic department.  It looks lacking here.

Like I said, I think it's a fair quetion.
