Wow. I'm on information overload tonight. As if the Big Ten divisions weren't big enough, now this. The Harrisburg Patriot is reporting that Robert Bolden will be the starting quarterback for Penn State against Youngstown State this weekend.
Two sources close to the Penn State program told The Patriot-News that true freshman Robert Bolden has been named the starting quarterback for the Nittany Lions' season opener with Youngstown State Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
One source said all three quarterbacks were informed of the decision prior to today but were told to keep quiet.
This is history, folks. In 45 years of coaching, Joe Paterno has never started a true freshman at quarterback on day one. I can't wait to see what this kid can do.
