NFL Week 1 Stats - Former Nittany Lions

I like to check in on how some of our former players are doing in the NFL, so I combed the box scores of yesterday's games and compiled the stats of the guys that popped into my head.

Larry Johnson - 9 yards on 3 carries (3.0 avg)

Michael Robinson - 2 receptions for 12 yards

Deon Butler - 1 reception for 13 yard touchdown

Derrick Williams - nada

Justin King - 2 solo tackles

Sean Lee - Nada

Paul Posluszny - 8 tackles (6 solo, 1 for a loss) and a sack

Dan Connor - 13 tackles (10 solo, 3 for a loss) and a sack

NaVorro Bowman - 1 solo tackle

Josh Hullstache - 1 solo tackle

Aaron Maybin - 1 tackle

Jared Odrick - 1 solo tackle for a loss

Feel free to tack on anybody else that I'm missing.  I know Tamba still has to go tonight.

My league has a real weird defensive player scoring system

You get redundant points for solo tackles, sacks, etc. Connor was the fourth highest points-getter behind two DBs and Arian Foster.

"Every player we have, someone-maybe a parent, a grandparent, someone-poured their soul into that young man. They are handing that young man off to us. They are giving us their treasure, and it's our job to make sure we give them back that young man intact and ready to face the world."

Lee was out on kick coverage, at least

I don’t think he played on defense, though.

Sounds right

Downed a punt on special teams. That’s the only time I saw him all night.

When isn't Puz hurt?

When he’s eating bbq on a beach, shirtless.

Our defense can still grow to become excellent.

Thanks.

It’s not showing up as a red x on my computer, so now I have a double shot of Pos without his shirt on! One of these days I’ll have to learn how to work the picture posting within a thread!

For the glory
