Here Come The Expendables!
Penn State needs to run the Spread HD Offense to win in the Big Ten, has an offensive line that is a work in progress, and more quarterbacks than it really needs. This could be fun!
Look Out!. Here Come The Expendables.
Most folks have been predicting that PSU will rely heavily upon Royster and his ground game this year.
I don't think so.
I figure that PSU needs to run the balanced Spread HD offense that the coaches have developed during the last few years. This means the passing game is the priority, and that the QB must be an integral part of the run and pass game.
Last year, with Clark being a good field general with no backup, PSU coaches pulled in their horns, and Daryll stayed in the pocket, not risking injury, and the QB was not a run threat. We payed the price at the Iowa game. No Spread HD. No Win!
No Such Problem This Year. Who cares if the O-Line is a work in progress? Who cares if concussions are on the way again for PSU QBs? We've got plenty of them!
Bolden will start, and when he goes down, Newsome will pick up the flag, and when he goes down, McGloin will be there to matriculate on down the field!. Even if all three of these go down, Jones is always there to come in if needed!
Who Cares IF when they get slobber-knocked? Put the next guy in!
We have no clue as to what really happened in practice, but it is clear that Bolden is, at this stage of the game, only slightly better than the others.
I think the mantra will be LET THE KIDS PLAY! Open it up!
Bolden is STARTING! This Ain't Your Grandpa's JoePa.
Go State, Beat The Penguins!
For the Glory,
Joe From Boalsburg.

Where's your pipe?
Until our defense proves otherwise, it should be presumed they will be excellent.
So you're saying our disastrous QB situation is better than last year's Michigan team
I think I’m with you on this Joe but with all the meatheads complaining about lack of stability screwing up the OL what does that mean for lack of stability at QB? It’s going to be fun to watch.
The players have denied that there are separate packages for each QB’s strength and many insist that if the revolving QBs are going to succeed this may be the best way to go a la DC in the Alamo Bowl. I’d like that but that shit ain’t the truth. The truth is you have similar skills in Bolden and Newsome although they excel at different aspects. Newsome has to be the more powerful and presumed durable runner that can still throw the ball, assuming his fumblitis is behind him. Bolden on the other hand is the better passer but still an outstanding runner.
So yeah, let’s do it and as for Millzners redheaded step child, carry the clipboard and play mini-me to Big Red on the sidelines as PJ pulls off his red shirt.
No offense intended
On a side note, is the h for Hermosa or Huntington? I lived in Hermosa in the late ‘90s and always watched the PSU and Stillers games at Shark’s Cove.

Huntington.
I got some coworkers that loved in Hermosa back in their bachelor days. They speak of that area quite fondly.
Gotta finally comment on this one...
If they LOVED in Hermosa in their Bach days, I’m SURE they remember it fondly (unless they got VD)!!!

I was born in Hermosa Beach.
Love it there. My sister didn’t talk to my parents for 6 months when we moved to PA.
lol mini-me
I could totally see McGloin ten years from now standing on the sideline next to Joe who is giving him an earful to relay up to JayPa in the booth.

Well played, sir.
