There is no song for this week. It's Temple. What am I supposed to do?
I hate this series. I am tired of it. I hate Pitt for not giving us the deal Temple gives us, because at least I could write Wreck of Pitt and Dan Marino complete with Kenny Jackson and Mike Munchak references.
But no, we're playing Temple. I won't complain about why we do this thing with those guys because I don't see a point in doing so. But I don't like it because I get more fired up for, like, Indiana than Temple. At least the Hoosiers are a bunch of corporate money loving whores.
Go ahead and pick your greatest moment in Penn State's "rivalry" with Temple:
I think back to the time I was listening to the FIERCE RIVALRY WITH TEMPLE on the radio with my grandfather. It was boring and sloppy, but we were winning, so he just decided we should go out in the backyard and burn some trash. It was more entertaining that way. This is the extent of my memory of Penn State's HEATED SERIES with Temple.
So instead of trying and failing to write a song, I am going to poll you people on my theme song (As opposed to my fight song Hail to the Rambler). Here are your options:
Merle Haggard, Ramblin' Fever
"There ain't no kind of cure for my disease."
Waylon Jennings, I'm a Ramblin' Man
Iowa Fight Song
Hank Williams (There is only one Hank Williams), Ramblin' Man
Postscript. Fire Curley.
