Get fired up for Ohio State!
Even ESPN recognizes our Nittany Lions and the progress they've made:
Penn State at Ohio State (5:30 p.m. ET): Penn State has two of the best wins in the Big Ten -- at home against Michigan State and Illinois. But Ohio State has something that the Nittany Lions do not -- Jared Sullinger inside. It's hard to imagine the Nittany Lions winning a game like this away from home, but that this game is even on a list like this shows how far they've come over the last few weeks.

So it's not football and I know it's hard for people to get excited. And I know that they're probably going to lose to a superior team today. But we do have a bona fide star in Talor Battle aiongside a pretty decent starting five. This week has been so good for the program that it's worth jumping on the bandwagon, at least for a little bit. I'm more than willing to make room for you. Let's go!

I'm pretty excited.
We played OSU close last year, when I think they were better. The only thing that saved them was a 6’7" PG. I think this one will be close. I don’t think we’ll win, but it should be fun.
Problem is, I’m going to a Steelers party so I’ll have to fight people to check in on the score.
"Every player we have, someone-maybe a parent, a grandparent, someone-poured their soul into that young man. They are handing that young man off to us. They are giving us their treasure, and it's our job to make sure we give them back that young man intact and ready to face the world."
-J.V.Pa.
AND if anyone is interested
the line is at OSU -19. I jumped all over that.
We have little tranquility but tons of tranquilizers.
Based on recent performances, that really does seem very high.
But you never know. OSU is pretty good.

when we got the tar beat out of us
by purdue, we only lost by 15 at home. through in the typical 2 point difference with h/a games, we still cover easily.
osu is a helluva team this year, but it is nearly impossible to win by 20 points in a 40 minute game.
We have little tranquility but tons of tranquilizers.

Wouldn't say "nearly impossible"
It happens quite a bit. I’d be surprised if Penn State lost by that many today though.

The day I started hating Thad
was when PSU played OSU in 07 at PSU. OSU would be up by like 1700ish points in the second half, see that lead dwindle to 2, and not have the win ensured until a PSU 3 ball rimmed out after the buzzer. Greatest comeback of all time to not actually happen, and I’m including the John Tyler – Plano East game (Youtube this if you don’t know) in that.
Anyway, at one point in the game Cornley was on a fast break and got hammered by some OSU player right in front of Thad. The ball goes out of bounds off the OSU player (if I remember correctly, it was Jamar Butler, but I’m not entirely sure). Whoever it was was lucky not to get an intentional foul, let alone no foul call at all. Thad goes off on the official about the ball being out on PSU, which it wasn’t anyway. That he showed such blatant disregard for the officials or the integrity of the game in that little episode solidified in my mind what a slimeball he is.
I've got the brains. You've got the looks. Let's make lots of money.
The day I started hating Thad
Was the day I learned he went by Thad. Dude should be kicking for Florida or something.
Now, if he were called Vlad, that’d be another story and I’d move to the next item of Hate, which is that he coaches for brutus.

I've actually always been on the PSU bball bandwagon...
I remember living in Fla, and a guy was like…. whos your favorite college bball team? and i wais penn state and he laughed and said, no really who’s your favorite college bball team… so yea…. Miami HET (before lebron) and PSU bball….
For the Glory of Old State
I'm so excited!
Can’t watch because one of my THON families is in town, but I’ll be checking my phone for the score like a madwoman.

Oh, BMAN.
I’m going to have to return to Chambersburg so we can straighten this out.
"I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done for this university." "Oh, I haven't done enough." - Joe Paterno.
You don't remember this?
dwf was going canning in Chambersburg and told BMAN she would be outside of the pet store. BMAN went to the pet store and dwf was at the Walmart instead. BMAN’s wife still gives BMAN a hard time about getting stood up, so BMAN still gives dwf a hard time about lying about where she was going to be.
This is BSD, the crazy stirs itself.
I've been to that Walmart and that pet store too.
In fact, my family nearly bought a Norwegian Elkhound there once.

I used to appreciate those dogs
We had Siberian Huskies and they seemed similar but with cooler names.

1) “used to”?
2) Yes, Norwegian Elkhound is excellent.

Re: used to
I hadn’t considered a Norwegian Elkhound in nigh on 20+ years.
I’m going dogsledding in CO in a couple weeks and will def ask if they have any Elkhounds in their stable.

Is It Too Early To Talk About A Sweep Of The Buckeyes!
Come on Nit Wits, if you are going to think that it is possible for Penn State to beat OSU on their home court, then you might as well go all the way, and go for the Big Ten Championship.
To win the regular season, you need to sweep several teams.
Might as well start with the Buckeyes.

I'm excited to watch this, even though I think we'll be destroyed.
But OH MAN do I hate the Buckeyes.
