PrintTerrelle Pryor barely got his team to this game. In fact, he was 60 minutes of football away from being in the national championship. But because he's not a perfect person in the world, he threw that October game away, made idiotic decisions, got free tattoos for autographs, whatever. Everybody does, right?
Getting off the meme thread, this serves as the open thread for tonight's game between the Arkansas Razorbacks and Ohio State Buckeyes. The Big Ten enjoyed a particularly awful New Year's Day run, going 0-4. Can Ohio State shake their own SEC-losing-streak-in-bowl-games-bug? I don't know. Arkansas has a running game (Knile Davis) but Ohio State still finished with one of the top run defenses in the nation.
This should be an interesting game, if nothing else.
Hali is most unimpressed by Terrelle Pryor's antics.

That being said, I never get caught up in all of this too much. Does it seem the B10 was down this year? Sure. But most conferences have up-and-down years.

I'm starting to get annoyed by Uhauls SEC love
I can overlook the South Carolina fandom, but the SEC love is starting to make me wanna puke.
What you call love I call objective assessment.
I don’t really care if other SEC teams perform well. Them winning hurts USC’s recruiting, so I’d actually prefer them to lose. I just don’t see the 0-4 prediction happening.

B/c I believe the SEC is better than the B10?
Also objective assessment.
People with allegiance to only one conference often confuse the pattern with love. I have an allegiance to both the B10 & the SEC, but would prefer all teams not USC & PSU to lose within those conferences. That doesn’t mean I actually believe that’s going to happen. Nor does that mean I don’t believe one conference is better than another.
You have an allegiance to only one conference (or hate the SEC), which is fine…but that doesn’t mean I am displaying “SEC Love.” I don’t love the conference, I love USC. Just like I don’t love the B10, I love PSU. I do, however, believe the SEC is the best conference…and that’s pretty much just based off of watching football.

Under normal circumstances, I would have picked PITT to beat UK. With the turmoil over there, I doubt it’ll happen now.

I’m rooting for Ohio State, and specifically Pryor, to win not only because it’ll help the Big 10 finish strong, but also give that POS more incentive to back out on his “commitment” to next year because he would have impressed NFL scouts
I sort of just want a really stupid game.
At least 20 penalties and someone throws a fit on the sideline. Preferably not Pryor. It wont be fun if it isn’t a surprise.

At least we didn’t lose to Minnesota.
And that’s actually the closest BCS loss the conference has ever suffered. As opposed to Ohio State’s 41-14 obliteration at the hands of Florida and 38-24 decimation at the hands of LSU, the worst national champions of all time.

I'm not trying to start a fight over who's team is better.
But Wisconsin ticked me off by refusing to take advantage of TCU’s total and utter inability to stop the inside run. It was like Wisconsin was just trying to be nice or something.
And lining up in the shotgun on that two point play was also stupid.

I went out and obliterated TCU 75-3 on NCAA in revenge. I’m a better offensive play-caller than Chryst there.
Had the shotgun 2 point attempt succeeded, he’d be lauded as an idiotic genius, instead of an idiot. But that’s the risk he took and it backfired.

let’s see. There was the infamous timeout when Stanzi was all but set to spike the football, the call for a receiver to not only NOT get past the sticks but get tackled in bounds… And of course the infamous debacles against Ohio State and Minnesota to end the season in which better clock management would likely have resulted in Ohio State going to the Capital One and Michigan State going to Pasadena, along with Iowa getting the Outback berth at 9-3.

Clock management had very, very little to do with the losses to OSU and Minnesota.
The rest of the comparison doesn’t fit because Ferentz doesn’t make lots of asinine public statements, doesn’t chew grass, doesn’t oversign, and doesn’t do ten other things that make Les Miles Les Miles.

It is random,
when I was a kid (30 years ago) they asked our family to do it and I signed up. It was just a paper you put with each TV that you wrote what was being watched on. They also sent a few bucks, but I never did the paper thing and still feel guilty to this day.
