Aaron Maybin Might be Cut
I would have loved for Maybin to play and develop at Penn State for another two years but money talks. Looks like his NFL career might be a short one. Hopefully he can have a Derek Cameron Wake revival.

Right move for Buffalo. Right move for Maybin.
Drafting him and expecting an early contributor was the wrong decision in the first place. If you take Maybin, you’re drafting upside that you need to coach up. If you’ve watched Buffalo play football, you know they’re pretty awful.
If Maybin even gets another chance in the league (seems doubtful now, but teams are always looking for a pass rusher), he should go to a 3-4 team that plays an aggressive blitzing scheme with a well-known coach. He needs to be trained from scratch.

As a Bills fan, I've seen basically every game the past two years
He’s done absolutely nothing. Even though they’re a terrible team, the Bills have given him every opportunity to become a contributor and it just hasn’t happened. Everyone was thinking this would be the year he’d start making progress (move to the 3-4, thin ranks at LB to begin with as well as injuries to players ahead of him), but it just hasn’t worked out. If he is indeed cut, I wish him the best. I don’t know if any other Bills fans would be as kind as me, though.
The only surprise is that it has taken this long.
He is truly awful.
Paige's sparking personality is intoxicating; her beauty breathtaking; her intellectual prowess incomprehensible to mortals. Her radiance...her luster...drive men mad. Her omnipotence dangerous, yet alluring. It is her power that ensures gravity remains constant; her genius that inspires. She is not only responsible for the Earth's rotation, but may cure what ails the heart with a glance. I am Paige's pool boy...a serf to her ladyship. I am at her beck and call. I bow to her. I am not worthy. War Eagle.

I know it was the right decision at the time, but maybe he should have stayed in hindsight
Not to mention how much I miss having Project Mayhem on the line every week
Those dollar bills suggest otherwise, honestly.
Would’ve loved to have had Maybin around another year or two.

Can't say I feel bad for him for making the terrible decision to leave
But it sucks when a PSU guy is cut
Leaving when you're guaranteed to make millions is never a "terrible" decision.

Joe always said he was surprised Maybin was as hot as he was.

He was virtually unstoppable at the college level..
I don’t think any team we played really slowed him down…maybe Iowa. But he even had his way with OSU and USC.
the thing is, he was a one trick pony and he probably needed more time to develop technique against NFL caliber linemen.

Basicly you're right.
But if the NFL wants to be stupid, it’s not Aaron Maybin’s job to stop them.

Sad, but true. Just hope he saved some of that money up. I am not optimistic he has.
Why?

It's amazing he had the game he did against OSU
when they were holding our linemen on every single play
