"Illinois should be an easy win"

I feel like we have a great shot to be 8-1

IMO, this game should be in the bag

I get it, the Illini are "down" right now. They just lost to Purdue of all teams, that team we barely beat by 5 points. Their offense also let a Braxton Miller led team put up 17 points against them despite being run on over 90% of the time. 

Might I remind you that this is also Illinois. The nice wild card. Remeber when Iowa beat us in 2008? Yeah, that Illinois team beat them. This was the same feeling last year when Illinois had just barely beaten Northern Illinois 28-22. Then 33-13 happens. Even in 09' when Illinois had a horrid team they played us close. 

But more on this years game. The past two times PSU has faced a mobile spread option QB, we've given up 750 yards total. This is 2/3 highest total yardage we've given up. And now we get Illinois. On one hand, the team has defended this look for the past 2 weeks. On the other hand, Illinois might present us with the most balanced attack we've seen. Purdue & NW didn't have a receiver on the level of AJ Jenkins. Purdue & NW didn't have RB's on the level of Illinois's.

But more importantly, Illinois has one of the nations best DL's and a very good defense. Yes, our offense has been improving. It might come to a halt vs Illinois. It's easily the best D we've faced since Bama, and on a whole different level from any other defense we've faced. There's a really good mood going into this game, and there shouldn't be. Wouldn't be surprising to see another 14-10 game.
