Notes:No changes this week. But some unofficial stuff is that Silas Redd is dealing with stingers. While I have little doubt in the kid's toughness and ability to play through pretty much anything, be mindful of how many carries Redd gets this week. He didn't get very many last week (18) relative to his previous weeks' workload. The addition of Stephfon Green and possibly Brandon Beachum into the lineup, along with primary backup Curtis Dukes, should come in handy against a decent Illinois defensive front this week.
Moving on.
Penn State Depth Chart
Ehh...
Well, well, lookie here. Matt McGloin is finally going into the game as an official starting quarterback again. How he'll do against a defense with actual warm blood running through its vessels remains to be seen, but we can only hope he torches the Illini defensive backfield. Running back is looking crowded once again, which is a good thing. Stephfon Green should see time on passing downs. I'll be interested to see how Brandon Beachum is utilized, if at all, this week. I've also formally added Curtis Drake back into the lineup, since he's been on the field a few times the past few weeks. Other than that, it's all about the same.
Did I miss anything?

At least after this game
Redd will have two weeks off to rest up for the final stretch. He’s making a great name for himself in B1G play and I’d like to see him maintain his stats so he gets the recognition he deserves for being a big part of this offense.

Agree and it's a well deserved amount of rest for him.
I think it’s great that he’s getting some recognition within the Big10, but hopefully his national recognition will starting picking up at some point. He’s hurt by the fact that national media members think PSU isn’t good and that their offense is terrible. Nevermind the fact that if this were a team in the SEC who only had 1 offensive playmaker (cough, Marcus Lattimore pre-injury, cough) he would be getting more press for being the engine to drive the offense or some stupid cliche they would use.
I’m just glad he’s a Nittany Lion and can’t wait to continue to root for him for the next 2 1/2 years.
Bolden should be immediately improved.
Everyone knows the backup is as good (or better) than the starter.
