Let's try to assess where we are at this point in the season by using a medium that everyone is familiar with...movies. I've listed several here...feel free to add any that you feel would do a better job of expressing how you feel about the season to date. TV shows are also acceptable.
Damn you word length!
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. (Now you know why my wife refuses to go to a secluded hotel with me in the middle of the winter.....)
Which movie best describes the PSU season to date?
It’s like Howard the Duck. You’re incredulous that so much suck can be packed into a couple hours. And you’re angry that you paid to see it. (4 votes)
Weekend at Bernie’s: The season is dead, but you might as well have fun with it until it starts to really stink. (4 votes)
Sophie’s Choice. Man, it’s a hard call but it needs to be made for the survival of the family. Pick one. (5 votes)
Catwoman. It’s awful in so many ways….but the suit (defense) is a thing of beauty and keeps you riveted. (4 votes)
The Blob. You keep cheering for Steve McQueen (Kevin Dillon in the remake) but the suck is always just a few steps behind. (1 vote)
Star Trek IV. They can use the sun (the line issues and other problems) to pull them around and fling them to the place they need to be (1 vote)
The Goonies. Sure there are challenges along the way, but they grow stronger working together and eventually overcome the pock-marked faced bad guys to win the day. Plus it stars Rudy and Josh Brolin’s huge head. (5 votes)
Reservoir Dogs. You could just tell right from the start that it’s going to end bloody (3 votes)
The Wizard of Oz. You’ve seen it so many times by now that even though it is a little scary in the beginning, you know it’ll end happy. (3 votes)
Brown Bunny. WTF was that?!?! (2 votes)
Remember the Titans. The only thing keeping this team back is a midnight run through a cemetery and the wisdom of a ten-year old girl. (4 votes)
tO$U is the Jar Jar Binks of Movies. Sucks so bad even little kids throw up in their mouths a bit when they are forced to watch. (39 votes)
