Okay, so the "Bolden = Devlin" thing is making less and less sense after Rob's performance against Illinois.
Well, here's another possibility.
The 2QB "system" may be only a psychological ploy.
As soon as you name McGloin the starter, he may lose his head as well as his edge.
It's like putting on body armor and suddenly thinking you're invincible, so you take unnecessary risks.
I think having Bolden constantly in the rear view mirror may actually, subconciously force McGloin to think twice about throwing into coverage and risking a turnover or worse, a pick six.
Or I could just be fishing for answers.
