Michael Myers-ish. Conference realignment refuses to die, but the Big East will be doing so in short order. TCU has received an offer from the Big 12, and it sounds like their Board of Regents is going to rubber stamp this within the week. Now the Big 12 will wait on Missouri, and potentially add Louisville and/or West Virginia if the Tigers decide to leave.
I think we can all agree that it's time for realignment to stop when Tulane - TULANE! - is mentioned in rumors.
Hype: Unfulfilled. Garrett Gilbert is transferring from Texas. Reportedly he's looking at SMU, but nothing's been decided yet. If he does go to SMU, hopefully he'll be kinder to the women of Dallas than a certain walking conflict of interest we may know. #REMEMBERTHEFIVE
O SHE MAD. A now-former ladyfriend got a hold of Denard Robinson's twitter page this morning, and she was... not happy with him. Denard, even I know that if you piss a girl off that bad, you'd better change your passwords with a quickness. What is this, amateur hour?
/slams door, falls off. Boise State WR Geraldo Boldewijn got pinched for having a car that was an impermissible benefit. That car was a 1990 Toyota Camry with 177,000 miles on it. Redefining luxury, y'all.
I mean, why not? So Colorado plays Stanford this weekend, and they most assuredly are going to lose. By a lot. So I guess that the loss of five players to suspension, four of which are defensive backs, really won't matter that much in the long run. I keep getting visions of Andrew Luck just throwing bullets through a Colorado secondary that's nothing but freshmen. It's...stimulating.
