I'm sure by now most people have read the special report from the Patriot-News on the Sandusky investigation that came out Monday morning. If you haven't read it yet, you can find it here
. In the article, the current investigator on the case points out the flaws of how the case was handled at the beginning.
"It was completely mishandled," one source close to the investigation told The Patriot-News. "I know these investigations take time, some of them, but someone should have been on this day and night from the beginning because of the severity" of the allegations.
When the case came across Corbett's desk in 2009 (while he was ramping up for a run at governor), he assigned a lone state trooper to the investigation. For as important as he has made this case out to be, shouldn't there have more people investigating it? Doesn't it seem like he did his "legal minimum" by putting someone on the case, but that he didn't perform his "moral duty" by putting a whole team on a case where young boys were being assaulted by Jerry Sandusky?
When are people going to go after Corbett's job like they did Joe Paterno's when, essentially, they did the same exact thing when handling the case?
