Random potential head coach names
I know we have all discussed the normal names for next head coach at PSU, wanted to put together a list of off the radar names.
Paul Johnson (Current GT and former Navy coach)
Mike Pettine Jr. (Son of PA high school coaching legend and current Jets DC)
John Hufnagel (Former PSU player and NFL coach)
Tim Murphy (Harvard)
Herm Edwards (Hello...former Eagle player and NFL HC)
Skip Holtz
I really like TB but chances are the program needs a clean slate and fresh start.

I am on the Chris Petersen train
If Scraps is let go, which I do not want to see, I think Petersen would be a good fit here. He has to know at some point that he hit his limit at Boise St., which is a same since he is a very good coach. He also can take realatively no name players and turn them into very good football players, hence him beating alot of teams. He is still young and might lok at this as him being able to start a legacy where he can win the big games, win championships and more.
I agree w/ the CP hire, would be a home run.
Almost positive they are going to can the entire staff after the season and move quickly.
From the above list, I think Paul Johnson makes a lot of sense and so does Mike Pettine Jr.
May no act.................
That you're "almost positive"
about ANYTHING at this point is crazy. No one has any idea what to expect anymore.
"We gon' get down. We gon' do the do. I'm going to hit these mother****ers" - Dock Ellis, May 1, 1974.
People hate our offense now
wait until they see the triple option and no defense. No thanks.
Let's go State
Beat Wisconsin!
Penn State running the triple option?
Now that would be interesting to see

Too small.
"Every player we have, someone-maybe a parent, a grandparent, someone-poured their soul into that young man. They are handing that young man off to us. They are giving us their treasure, and it's our job to make sure we give them back that young man intact and ready to face the world."

I'm on the Tom Bradley train.
Hire Darren Perry, too.

Nope on DP
It’s bullshit, but he’s probably a non-starter.
...may we compete with fierce intensity, with the gifts that we have been given...
Still on Pettine, eh?
Intrigued.
What’s Murphy’s deal at Harvard? Always intrigued by the small school coaches.
@JPosnanski - I saw a girl crying tonight. When I asked why she said: "Because everybody lost."

Screw it, let's clean out Boston.
Bring in Terry Franconia to coach the baseball team while we’re at it.

Francona doesn't coach in Boston anymore

Anyone but Herm
It’s rare that one is a terrible analyst and a worse coach, but he has accomplished that to become a rare double threat.
Am I crazy?
Obviously, the scandal has ruled out a lot of “home run” names, Urban Meyer being the most obvious in that category.
But in some ways hasn’t this taken the pressure off for the next guy? For the first 3-4 years, if he goes .500 and avoids scandal, nobody’s going to say a word, right?
I think about Indiana basketball. Now, at Penn State, the roster hasn’t been gutted (at least not yet) the way it was for the Hoosier hoopsters, but after all that went down in Bloomington Crean basically got a two-year free ride. The wounds — most self-inflicted — had turned a notoriously impatient fanbase into a very patient one.
I think this rules out the guys who thought, “Hey, I get that Penn State job and I’m hoisting crystal footballs within the first two years,” but opens it up to a lot of guys who might really want to settle in and (re)build something. And, frankly, at this point I wouldn’t want the former.
And..
All that said, I’m all about Bradley, but share STL’s skepticism that he’ll get a fair look.

I'm all for TB but...
Would love to see Andy Reid take over if not TB. If for nothing else, it gets him out of Philly.
Reporter: Can you give us a touchdown celebration, one that you would get penalized for?
Moye: I play at Penn State. I don’t celebrate.
