Based on the recent actions of the BOT and rumors that have been floating around, it appears as if Penn State wants to distance itself from Joe Paterno. Firing him and talking about removing his statue are not enough to truly distance the university from him. To really do it right they need to return every cent that he donated to the university. Retrun every cent that he personally asked people to donate. Return every cent from bowl games that he coached in. Tear down the library addition that he helped finance. Tear down the chapel that he and his wife contributed to. Penn State would do this if they really want to do this the right way, but then again if things had been done the right way this problem would not exist.
