(Disclaimer: Every time I post these someone comes along and says don't tell me what to do, you curmudgeon waffle lover! I'm not trying to be Joseph Stalin here. My goal is convince you, not tell you what to do)
I doubt we sniff 8 wins for the next couple of years
9-3 represents the high water mark for this program for a while
Losing seasons or 7-5//6-6 seasons for the next few years appears likely to me.
Take a good look at Northwestern, Purdue, and maybe Iowa and Illinois . . . that’s your new “competition”
Oh really? Did Penn State magically stop having one of the nations top RB's in the nation?
Oh really? Did one of the nations best LB Corps for next year just disappear?
Oh Really? Did all the playmakers at Wide Receiver just magically up and leave?
The OL? Yeah, I'd expect that to be like the LB Corp this year. A bunch of decent senior starters give way to much, much more talented underclass--men.
The Secondary? It'll return 3 players with starting experience. That's better than a lot of teams. And we al know what Amos & Willis can do.
DL? Jones is more athletic than Still, Hill is a space eater, and boy we might actually have a real pass rush with Olaniyan. Also Massaro returns.
Also, Paul Jones. 2012.
