Lubert & Joyner’s first item of discussion about search parameters included the time frame. I’m guessing they acknowledged (to themselves) that this recruiting class is far less important than ‘getting it right,’ and that they knew they’d be in the search biz until after Jan1.

Great distinction between ‘vindicated’ (JoePa, from MM testimony) vs. the week ahead of the Neb game (yes, he has been) and vs. the magnitude of the whole scandal (no, he hasn’t; nobody has)

Reflects poorly on the BoT that they were in such a ‘PR frenzy’

There’s a lot of misinformation, still, about this whole thing.

Still completely comfortable with JoePa having had to be fired, along with Curley, Schultz, Spanier & McQueary.

BoT saw an oppty for Joe to go away anyway and Joe ‘declared’ he’d be coaching through the end of the season.

KHD: Joe’s declaration and the BoT’s reaction is probably ‘an underplayed part of all this.’

Guessing if Joe’s declaration was more humble, his status may have turned out better. That was Joe kinda ‘tryin to run the whole shit up there.’ A risk he took and it didn’t work out for him.

‘To make this about us…’ feels like he needs to pre-qualify every remark by telling everybody that he ‘remembers what happened.’

Sad as everything is, it’s somewhat amusing listening to KHD & CG struggle to select words. Def how many of us feel.

This class is late in the game, some kids won’t have spots at other schools.
