Breaking: Another ESPN Related Child Abuse Scandal

Philadelphia Daily News columnist and charter participant in ESPN's "Sports Reporters" Bill Conlin has just resigned. Deadspin is reporting that his resignation is because a story will be published outlining charges that Conlin abused children . So in the month since ESPN tried, convicted, and executed Joe Paterno and Penn State it has come to light that they sat on incriminating evidence of sexual molestation until the statute of limitations passed and had a pedarist on staff for more than decade. Of course these men are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but why wait that long when accusing them feels so good and increases media appeal? What did ESPN know and when did they know it? How could ESPN pundits work side by side with Conlin and not ever know that Conlin molested children? How can Mike Lupica, who basically is the star of "Sports Reporters" not know- I mean he's the biggest name on the show? Of course Lupica has a moral responsibility to resign, he did after all just write this about Joe When is ESPN going to learn that it can't just keep harboring sex offenders and get away with it? ESPN should forgo all telecasts of bowls, that is the only way they can expunge this behavior from their conscience. If they donate some bowl revenue to child sex abuse victims, well that would just be an empty gesture.
