Bernstein Article Complaint

I feel badly about having read the Bernstein article since that is exactly what they wanted. So, I wrote a letter to complain. I suggest that you do as well by emailing Comments@670thescore.com. Here's the body of the letter:

I am writing to complain about the article by Dan Bernstein article found here:
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2011/12/21/dan-bernstein-shreds-the-penn-state-letter-to-joe-paterno/

As a Penn State alum (Class of 2007) I am disgusted by this article. I have been shocked, saddened and angered by the allegations against Sandusky and the actions of a select few members of the Penn State community. Mr. Bernstein chooses to ignore the positive response from the Penn State community following the allegations and fallout. He conveniently chooses to ignore the money raised by the alumni for RAINN and instead chooses to label Penn State as a place that enables predators. Penn State is a great research institution. I fail to realize what a missing DA and a poor governor have to do with the school. As the original letter says, Penn State is much more than a single person or single sports team. For Mr. Bernstein to condemn a whole school is irresponsible and unacceptable. If you choose to continue employing somebody like this it is clear that credible journalism is not importance to your company. It is clear that his hope and your hope is to only gain attention, especially with the following line, "Apparently because you don’t mind child-rape. And because Paterno is almost dead, thankfully." I am appalled that you would allow this kind of sensationalism to be published on your website. To wish death upon someone that you have never met and to accuse people of "not minding child-rape" is clearly irresponsible. There has been no sign by any of the players who signed the letter that this is how they feel.

I am writing this complaint in hopes that it prompts you to take down the article and apologize to the Penn State community. We are much more than one football team and one coach. We are a great school that has indeed done great things. For Mr. Bernstein to condemn all of us is a shame is unfortunate because some of the greatest people I know are Penn Staters.
