Imagine this scenario during football season:
- Dave Matthews Band renting out Beaver Stadium for a couple of weeks rehearsing for a North American stadium tour. The stage and all of the equipment is set up during the week, then torn down for Saturdays.
-
Holuba Hall is booked by a trade show and career fair.
-
Lasch Building and its grounds are converted to host a flower show.
Meanwhile, the football team is regulated to practice on the IM Fields along side while IM games are going on.
Then, on Saturdays:
- Only half of the ticket-taking lines are open, resulting in insanely long lines to enter the stadium. Half of the crowd misses the first quarter.
- Barely half of the concession stands are open for business, again resulting in crazy waits for food and beverages
This isn't fantasy; this is reality of Penn State basketball.
Hit up Dave Jones' latest column, which proves beyond a doubt that basketball is treated like a third-class citizen at Penn State.
