So yesterday Tom Dienharts list of the top position coaches came out yesterday and there was a glaring omission- Larry Johnson sr. Rodney Garner, a DL coach from Georgia made it over him (That's not meant as a shot at him). But seriously, the guy doesn't even have a wiki page, so he can't be that good, right?. To add one, Georgia has only finished in the top 10 in run defense once and sacks once, as opposed to four times and three times for Penn State. Here's how they break down, based on 1st team AA appearances and other things to note: (Results based off of AP AA team)
Garner:
1st team AA's- David Pollack (x2)
1st round draft picks- Richard Seymmour, Marcus Stroud, Charles Grant, Jonathan Sullivan
Other notable players- Marcus Stroud, Quentin Moses, Marcus Howard, Geno Atkins, Justin Houston (partially), Josh Mallard
LJ sr:
1st team AA's- Aaron Maybin, Tamba Hali, Courtney Brown
1st round draft picks- Jared Odrick, Courtney Brown, Jimmy Kennedy, Michael Haynes, Tamba Hali, Aaron Maybin
Other Notable players-Ed Johnson, Jay Alford, Maurice Evans, Phil Taylor (partially), Anthony Adams, Brad Scioli
You can draw what conclusions you want, but I think you know who I think is the better coach.

Sidenotes: I would've included 1st team appearances for the respective conferences, but those were hard to hard to find, especially for the early years in their coaching resumes. If you used the walter camp 1st team AA, both teams would have more 1st team AA's. Notable players is obviously opinion based, and I probably missed a few guys.
