STEP Upgrades Start This Week - Your Experience
The upgrade portion of the STEP seat changes start this week I think (I go next week) and I was hoping to put together a little spot where people could describe how the process was working for them.
So after you finish your part of the upgrade process drop a comment here and let us know about any foibles, peculiarities or other intel that might be useful to make this go as smoothly as possible.
And why don't I throw in a poll for fun...

Anywhere where the casual old people aren't.
It took a while for me to get down in front’d, but some old geezer did it during the MSU game. He also dropped gems like “Joe is just so stubborn” and “Get Jones in there!”

Oh, and the worst part of this story?
I had myself convinced that any old man who down in front’d me would get a lecture on where to shove it, but, no, I turned around, apologized meekly, and sat down. All in less than a second. It was like a Viet Cong ambush of football fan shame and embarrassment. I didn’t know what I was doing. Maybe it was his old man powers controlling me? I don’t know, but I let you all down. I’m sorry.

We should do a post dedicated solely (well, until requisite tangents appear) to Down in Front

I sit down in front when asked, because I can understand if the people behind me are old and tired
but I do wish there were sections you could get tickets as a non-student where standing was preferred over sitting.

I absolutely back this 150%
Those of us that are still young enough to stand up and be loud all game should have the opportunity to.

As a kid, I used to be up high on the fifty.
I sat with an unruly bunch of older gentlemen that routinely snuck in alcoholic beverages. Many a shot of Rock and Rye were drunk from a pair of “binoculars” around one guy’s neck. I won’t go so far as to let anyone know how we got all that booze in (at least 2 cases of beer and several bottles of alcohol), but it was ingenious. I miss those days. I doubt I could pull that off these days.
I could get up at 6 a.m. every day and go to a job that I hate.... or, I could sleep til noon and learn to play the sitar.
Hey, maybe I saw you when I was a little kid?
I totally remember watching a bunch of old dudes coming back from halftime loaded up with beers in their hunting vests and the gatekeepers making them put them all right in the trash. Then they finally also checked the binoculars and made them pour those out too.
Are you a BSD oldhead? I mean, I’m a man, I’m forty, would you have been drinking age when I was 12?

No, I'm still in my 30's.
The guys I was with were friends of my parents. One of the guys owned a beer distributer. One of them worked for Accuweather. We used to yell at him if the weather was bad. Those guys were definitely not “Old Man Eulers”, but they weren’t kids either. They would do shots every time they scored, so the ’94 season was quite interesting.

i would
Like the ability to log on now and see if the seats I have virtually selected are actually available and how long they stay that way until my time of ascension.
In reality I just want all four of my seats to finally be together.

got relocated in Feb
we ended up moving from from the high North (row 84) to row 22 in the old visitors lower corner. I am pretty excited to not be up so high but I’ll miss the great view of the stadium.
Launching on 3/24
Looking to live between the 30s about 40 – 50 rows up. Basically, Old Man Euler territory. We’ll see how we do.

How awesome would it be
If Shogun takes the exact 12 seats Old Man Euler held down for 40 years?

We go on the 29th...
I’d love to get under the North Deck – It’ll keep the kids out of the sun & rain…
