Women's Gymnastics Heading to Bama for NCAA Regionals
While I haven't seen anything "officially released" from the NCAA yet, I'm fairly certain that this is correct. The ladies will be heading to Alabama as the #2 seed in the regional, looking to clinch a spot at NCAA Championships. This is the second trip this season to Alabama for the Nittany Lions, as the ladies started their season with a meet against the Crimson Tide.
Alabama will likely win the regional, as they are the #2 team in the nation and will have the obvious advantage of being the home team. Penn State will need to hold off Illinois for second place and the qualifying spot for the NCAA's. Penn State finished ahead of the Illini this past weekend at the Big Ten Championships and will look to do the same at Alabama on April 2nd.

Another update
They apparently already announced the rotations for the regional. Penn State will start on the beam (which might be their weakest event), have a bye, move to the floor exercise, then to vault, then their second bye, and end on the uneven bars (probably their best event). We’re ending with an event, instead of sitting and waiting for everyone else to finish up, which is always a positive.

Thanks!
I’m going to go down to Tuscaloosa to support the team. I was too sick to go last time.

Very cool
and I’m slightly jealous as well. Hopefully I’ll get to see this team next year, because there is a lot of great young talent on the team.
Also, if you want, I can do a FanPost/FanShot on the important people to watch for when you go to the meet. (I’m actually just trying to use this as an excuse to do more research and post pictures.) (Yes, I can do one for the guy’s team too when they start preparing for Nationals.)

Yes, please!
And, echoed re: pics. Umm, of both teams please.

Very awesome!
Saw your replies on the Women’s Gymnastics’ FB post. And admittedly, I’m quite jealous you’ll get to be there.
