Re-link. Penn State starting defensive end Pete Massaro is expected to miss the 2011 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee Friday, a source said today. Massaro also missed the 2009 season after tearing the ACL in his right knee in the Blue-White spring game.

$#%^&*!!!!!!

Poor kid, I was really hoping to see him back this year. Think he’ll get a medical red-shirt?

This is BSD, the crazy stirs itself.

Dammit.

Stay strong young man.

I call for an immediate end to the “Time to step up” series.

Oh please yes

I've got the brains. You've got the looks. Let's make lots of money.

Well, balls

This sucks. Does anyone know if he can still apply for another medical redshirt? I can’t remember if he already used his regular RS and then the medical redshirt, or just his RS for the first time he tore his ACL. Either way this SUCKS, he’s sadly sounding a lot like Jerome Hayes.

Best of luck on a speedy recovery, Pete.

Beyond the "oh sh-t" reaction

Please step up Olaniyan. I cannot take another year of his play

Olaniyan?

He hasn’t played a down yet, he’s a RS Fr. Are you thinking of someone else?

by dawsonPSU10 on Mar 28, 2011 6:49 PM EDT up reply actions

No, that's who I was thinking of

Oh wow, re-reading what I was thinking of, it should say

“I cannot take another year of Lattimore’s play”

my bad

I was going to ask if you meant Latimore

because seriously, I was going to tell you to chill out on a kid who hasn’t even seen the field yet, lol

Time to Step Down: Penn State Knee Hating Gods.

That really sucks. I hope he goes for a medical redshirt. Please get better soon!

Shades of Hayes

let’s hope he can come back ala Jerome. Poor kid.

Please stop the Step Up series. It is bad luck.

Step Up Series

It has brought bad luck to our current roster. However, since its installment, we have 4 recruits who are committed for the 2012 class!

From ESPN Insider

On the Massaro injury…

‘Maybe the football gods are telling Joe Paterno that it’s time to step aside and let someone else worry about the Penn State football team. A day after WR Curtis Drake refractured his left tibia, 2010 starting DE Pete Massaro suffered what several outlets are reporting as a “serious” left knee injury. (Massaro previously had torn his right ACL in 2009.)

A journalist was paid to write that tripe. Honestly.

Eh.

It’s ESPN. What do you expect?
