Every time you look for a reason to hate on Ed, he pulls something out of the hat. As you can see below this post, he's done it again. What made a former 4 star recruit that got an offer from Ohio State think that coming to Penn State will help his development is beyond me. But hey you know, I won't turn a good thing down.
In all seriousness though, this can't be understated. This is a big pickup for Penn State. In a lot of ways it's bigger than the Buie pickup. We'll see how it turns out, but the Penn State basketball fan inside of me is doing a little dance over this one. I can only hope it's worth it.

Penn State football questions: Could Khairi Fortt be used as a standup end?
When defensive end Pete Massaro suffered a season-ending knee injurylast month, Penn State's defense suffered a major blow. Between Massaro's injury and the winter rehab of Jack Crawford (foot) and Eric Latimore(wrist), the Nittany Lions were quickly pressed for bodies at defensive end. Talented sophomore linebacker Khairi Fortt showed promise as a true freshman last season and was reportedly being tried as a standup defensive end in practices. Given all the injuries up front, could that role better suit Fortt in 2011?
