but you can’t say he didn’t have enough chances

Really disappointed
I wouldn’t have taken a second look at this headline if it happened last year, but all the reports this spring really seemed to have him finally turning things around and exiting the doghouse. I can’t say I’m going to miss him on the field since we didn’t see much of that, but on a personal note I really wanted to see Ware turn this ship around and become one of those great PSU stories we have become so used to seeing play out on JoePa’s teams. Hope he can still find success somewhere else.
I get the paper. I go to the bathroom. I take the paper in there and I scan it. I look at it. The first thing I do is look at who died. All right. Second thing I look at are headlines. Something that says, "Paterno is the Greatest," I read it. -JVP
Exactly
“…all reports…”
This sucks; wanted to see him turn it on this yr…

Unfortunate.
It’s frustrating watching a young person not take hold of the opportunities offered him.
Wow that happened suddenly
Odd that everything seemed to be turning around for him. I even think I remember someone praising his stepped up attitude towards his classes, at least in the Fall. I’m not trying to start any rumors or anything, but I’m wondering if he got caught cheating. Either that or he took his success from the Fall and flushed it down the toilet with a crappy spring semester.
If I had to guess i would venture that he just doesnt have the discipline to maintain the short term improvement he saw last semester.

At the risk of sounding crass
It looks like Ware finally bit off more than he could chew.
Best of luck to him in the future however.

I'm just so disappointed in this kid.
I thought he was finally growing up.
This is BSD, the crazy stirs itself.
I heard he had straight A's
but his academic advisers looked at his Twitter feed and unilaterally dropped his GPA

Hey, at least now the younger talent gets a chance to shine
Not like he was going to be much of a pass rushing force anyways, unlike Still, Hill, & Jones.
I’m perfectly content in Hailes.

Hailes might miss 2011. Some sort of illness.
The Ware situation sucks. He burned the coaching staff by not rewarding their faith in him, but the coaches deserve a little flack for this too — Ware was a well-known academic risk from the very beginning, which is part of the reason he only had offers from Temple and North Carolina Central a few weeks before Signing Day.
And it sounds like Shyquan Pullium is having difficulty qualifying, too.

Also, Ware should've been off the team a year or two based on his tweets alone.
I still can’t believe that was allowed to go on.

tweeting to BWare
is like breathing to the rest of us…he had so many he had to create a separate account. If he spent as much time and energy on the field and in the classroom that he spent on twitter, he’d have been starting years ago. etc, etc.

80,000+ tweets over the past few years
A significant portion of which were way to misogynistic / vulgar to post here. I’m far from the type of person who gets the vapors over bad language, but Ware’s conduct on Twitter was a disgrace to the University. That’s not “get off my lawn” stuff, it’s very sincere. It wasn’t funny, it wasn’t creative, it was just dirty.
A coaching staff with it’s finger on the pulse of its team wouldn’t have permitted it. It was that bad.

I stopped too
what pissed me off more than the language was the “I hate practice”, “I hate class”, “why do they make me go to class/practice”, etc, etc
He had an opportunity that many would have killed for and threw it away.

Oh wow, that illness completely went over my head, good catch
I mean, I don’t want to sound dismissive of Ware, but really, it doesn’t kill us this year, though with Hailes out it is a bit more worrying.

Damn you BWare la Flare!
A little less Twitter, a little more book learnin and who knows what may have been.
Based on his tweets he hated class, studying and practice but I thought he turned it around.
Thousands of kids would have loved the opportunities he had. Hope he can fit in somewhere less demanding.

Does PSU offer a Liberal Arts B.A. degree
in tweeting? I mean, that sounds like something the College of Communications would offer, right?
If so, maybe BWare can come back. Wasn’t Joe talking up the progress Ware made in the spring? Surprising that this is the end result.

too bad we don't have a degree in "Exploring"
or maybe we do
