The Cupboard is not bare!

For some reason, everyone thinks that the PSU hoops program is left in total disarray and has no warm bodies. People think there will be a lengthy rebuilding process for whoever steps in.

The program is on fairly solid ground and has momentum. The Lions will be young this upcoming season, but will still have depth and talent. Take a look.

First Team

1 - Tim Frazier (Potential All BIG candidate), JR

2 - Jermaine Marshall (Versatile combo guard who can score), SO

3 - Ross Travis (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEljIS0d760), FR

4 - Sasa Borovnjak (Legitimate power forward who can score), SO

5 - Alexis/Ackerman (Big mo'fo's), FR/FR

Second Team

1 - Trey Lewis (Talor 2.0?), FR

2 - Tre Bowman (Looked good last season, athletic, long), SO

3 - Matt Glover/Cam Woodyard (Big guards who can provide minutes), SO/SR

4 - Jonathon Graham (Improved body from redshirt season), FR

5 - Alexis/Ackerman (Big mo'fo's), FR/FR

As you can see that is a legitimate 11 man team. Yes the 2011-2012 season will have growing pains, but there is a lot to look forward to. There is a ton of young talent on this team, quietly assembled by Dechellis. Staten will probably go somewhere else, but I don't think thats going to matter much. We will still be very talented.

Combine that roster with an excellent coach and we could be seeing drastic changes very quickly. I don't want to be dramatic, but assuming there are no transfers, we could see a team that will be a BIG darkhorse in 2012-2013 (only loss will be Woodyard)

Maybe I am becoming less pessimistic. I grew up a Red Sox fan so its in my blood. Happy Chamburz Day everyone
