This is how I would react

I would run up and give him a big bear hug. I was on the field for the ’06 Northwestern game and a couple of times I got within 10-15 yards of JoePa. I kept asking my friend if it would be a bad idea to go try to hug him. He assured me that it would.

Looks like BCS has stripped USC of their 2004 national championship. I know this isn’t really PSU related, but I think that’s huge news in the college football world.

Let’s be clear: there is no national championship in 1-A college football. What they’ve done is stripped USC of the #1 ranking in the final opinion poll by the coaches.

Admittedly, the press is very loose with their definitions and what they report. It doesn’t mean they are correct in referring to this as a “national championship”. It’s a mythical championship just the same.
