BCS Strips USC of MNC; Reggie Bush Yawns
No, this is not another story about the Bowl Presidents and their stripper tabs. Other bullets:
- no money expected to be returned from the PAC 10 to the BCS
- no word on whether the crystal trophy will be requested to be returned
- USC AD Pat Haden: 'we'll still say it was a championship season.'

USC AD Pat Haden: ’we’ll still say it was a championship season.’
Nobody else will. Except maybe Ohio State.
Our rival is Stanford.
What a tool.

Well, what about the AP and Coaches' polls?
As far as I know, those are technically considered different “national championship” awards from the BCS. I believe the AP said they would not revoke their final 2004 poll, which placed USC #1.
I have never cared much for revising the record books. The games played on the field didn’t change. Where cheating has occurred, the results are tainted in the eyes of the fans whether or not the NCAA or the BCS officially decides to revise their records.
However, I would like to see the NCAA strip OSU of some wins, so that Penn State can move into the #5 spot on the all-time wins list more quickly.

I’m inclined to say no. My bias against mid-majors, along with my admiration of how dirty that Auburn team was leads me to think they were more screwed that year.
That, and even if there was a plus-1 format that year, Utah was 6th in the BCS that year. And beating up on a weak Pitt team after running the gauntlet that is the MWC doesn’t make you higher in the pecking order than an undefeated SEC team who beats Virginia Tech.
That's why the BCS is stupid.
Because we have no idea whether Utah was as good or better than Auburn, Southern Cal, or Oklahoma.
Take a shower, shine your shoes...
We do know they were better than Pitt
is there anyway i can redeem myself, i was not sure if i should say "we" at that moment

That’ll teach ’em!

Incidentally
The 2004 season was the last time Paterno was in the coaches poll, and he refused to fill out his poll in January 2005.

He tried.
They told him, “you can’t”. He told them then he wasn’t interested.

Actually I think he submitted it anyway and was then stripped of his voting rights.

Nah, he eventually gave in and then in the offseason they asked him not to vote anymore.
And he said that was ok with him.

He submitted a ballot with all three undefeated teams ranked #1
and yeah, they told him he couldn’t do that, then he, always being ahead of the game, sent them a picture of the “suck it” dog, and then the NCAA banned him like they were ATO. I don’t know that the last two things actually went down in that fashion, but metaphorically speaking they certainly did.
