A person owns 49 pairs of shoes: are they a girl or about to be charged with a felony?

Jordan Jefferson, LSU's starting QB along with a backup linebacker Joshua Johns were both arrested on felony battery charges stemming from a bar brawl in Baton Rouge. An eye-witness says she saw Jefferson kick a guy on the ground in the face. While I know better than to think that SEC football players will charged with full felony charges, it wasn't really the part of the article that caught my eye: On Wednesday, police executed a search warrant of Jefferson's apartment and took 49 pairs of shoes, along with a DNA swab. I love how that little gem was buried in the article. Now obviously it doesn't say what kind of shoes they were, or how much they were worth, but let's be honest, where the hell does a college kid get the money for 49 pairs of shoes? They didn't even say that those were ALL of his shoes, they only indicated they took 49 pairs from his collection. Something doesn't sit right with this to me.
