Anyone else have this issue?
Sometime around now, each year, I find myself completely able to watch horrible football games as if they are conference slugfests in late November. Is something wrong with me? Am I alone?
I mean, yeah. I'll watch Wisconsin vs UNLV, only because UNLV tends to scare the shit out of Wisconsin every time they play; plus, the Badgers are in Penn State's division.
But outside of that game, would any actually excite me if it were played a few weeks from now? The first game of the season, Louisville vs Murray State? Michigan State vs Youngstown State on Friday? Temple vs Villanova, or Wake Forest at Syracuse, North Carolina Central (WTF?!) vs Rutgers... all games on ESPN3.com?
There's a 99.9% chance I would never watch more than a snap or two of any of those games if they weren't the first morsels of college football we're fed this year. I've been so starved for this sport's return, including my weekly time travels back to old PSU games on my laptop, that I'm willing to subject myself to arguably the worst kind of college football there is...
Please help me.
If you didn't realize this was a sarcastic post, you're worse off mentally than I am right now.
