Part Two of a five-part series remembering PSU's National Championship, 100th Aniversary Season by re-publishing the Tailgate Menu of a well-organized group of Nits.
In 1986, PSU traveled to Tuscasloosa and our tailgate, en masse, flew to Atlanta, rented a small mobile home on wheels, drove into town, and celebrated a sound thrashing of the Crimson Tide. It was a glorious year.
But this tailgate menu was for an earlier game at home. The second tailgate that year focused on Slavic foods and can be read in full at www.kitchenencounters.typepad.com.
The first page of a 1986 three-page Tailgate Newsletter shows how things looked pre-computer and internet, when cut-and-paste really meant cut and paste!
By the way, my brother heads the state-wide effort to change the Pennsylvania State Flower to the Pierogi!
Go State, Beat Bama!
