I have solved the QB controversy that has been tearing us apart over these incredibly long past few weeks! No, the QB rotation isn't going anywhere, so I have devised a plan that will make everyone happy. For some reason, I continue to read every QB argument posted on BSD and continue to see the same complaints. Bolden is beloved by all yet everyone says that he has never done anything and has no skill, just potential skill. McGloin is hated by all and yet everyone says he should start because he won us some games, picks be damned. And of course, other than Pentimental's mad science, no one has been able to put these two Monsters of Mediocrity into one amazing QB. The missing piece of course being Shane McGregor.
Bolden and Mac both start too slow and both cant win us the games against big teams, that is the knock on these guys. However, Mac wins games early, and then throws them away, while Bolden keeps us in them, but can't get over the hump. Anyone else see what I'm seeing? The game is started by Shane, I mean the kid threw one heck of a pass in that EMU game, huh? The other two guys take the first two qtrs to warm up anyway, so what are we missing? Next, we see McGloin for the last drive of the half, and the entire 3rd qtr. He gets that O rolling ala NW game and rides his Moxie to the bench for the 4th. That's when Robo the "game manager" comes in and Doesn't Lose the game for us. I mean come on guys, it's pretty simple.
Don't worry, I've already phoned Joe and the boys (he was already skyping Sue to make sure the manicotti was ready for tonight so I had to go old school) so we are all squared away for B1G play, cease your squabbling and let the celebrations begin! We are!
