So, with week 1 in the bag (minus the couple games today), and happy that our team posted a resounding "W", which "L" within the top 25 is giving you special delight? Also, which one do you think has the greatest impact on the 2011 college football landscape? Which will be forgotten as the season wears on and which is a foreshadowing of more to come? (I'm doubting A&M will lose to SMU - although it could happen I suppose - and WVU could drop the ball against Marshall.)
(I've included the loss by tOSU to Akron in place of the usual vote for the suckiness of tOSU. I had updated my will and pre-written my obituary with attached photograph in preparation for my death by terminal laughter if tOSU had shat the bed against Akron. While I knew it would never happen, I had gone to bed Friday night with visions of the tOSU fan base collapsing the Internets after a 24-21 win by the Zips. I'm sure most of you share similar dreams. Although this didn't happen - I really could have died a happy person right then and there if it had - I console myself with the vortex of suck created in South Bend. I imagine there were groups of villagers assembling in the taverns of South Bend with torches, ladders, ropes, and pitchforks preparing to march on Notre Dame Stadium. Luckily for Mr. Kelly, cooler heads (and torrential downpours) apparently prevailed. I assume Touchdown Jesus, who had called down fire and lightning from heaven in his wrath over the suck that he was forced to witness earlier probably played a role, having decided to allow the coach to live at least one more week. There will be no restraint next week when Michigan completely dismantles them.) Feel free to include comments on if A&M or WVU lose today as well.
