The last time a PSU football team lost a game in the state of Texas, Buddy Holly was still in Lubbock High School.
Since losing to Texas Christian 20-6 in 1954, Penn State has not lost a football game in the state of Texas, winning all nine games played there. Throw in the 38-15 1996 Fiesta Bowl win vs Texas and PSU is 5-0 all time versus Texas Teams in Bowl Games.
In fact, PSU has throttled the Texicans when playing in their great state by the aggregate score of 202 to 78, outscoring the 'boys' by a 2.6 to 1 ratio. This is actually worse than Paterno's record versus Bear Bryant (about 2:1)So, saying a big THANK YOU to Texas for contributing to making Penn State the #1 Bowl Team Winner in the FBS,
