PSU will be represented in the NFL playoffs this weekend by seven former players (although two are on injured reserve). Six of the eight teams have former PSU players, and only one team has more than one former PSU player (two). Two teams have no PSU players and therefore will fail miserably in their games this weekend (Ravens and Broncos). (I know that Tebow is supposed to have God on his side, but how can that be when the Broncos have no PSU personnel? Some say He is a fickle Lord so who knows.) All of the NFC teams have a PSU player, either active or injured, so at least someone from PSU will be at the Super Bowl...maybe on crutches.
Packers: Andrew Quarless (Injured Reserve)
Giants: Jimmy Kennedy and Kareem McKenzie
Saints: John Gilmore
49ers: NaVorro Bowman
Patriots: Rich Ornberger (Injured Reserve)
Ravens: NONE (FAIL!)
Texans: Bryant Johnson
Broncos: NONE (FAIL!)
For the B1G there are 73 former B1G players on the rosters (this includes practice squad and injured reserve).
Illinois: 6
Indiana: 4
Iowa 5:
Michigan: 8
MSU: 6
Minn: 3
Nebraska: 5
Northwestern: 2
PSU: 7
Purdue: 8
tOSU: 12
Wisconsin: 7
The team with the most B1G players is New Orleans with 15 former B1G'ers and the team with the fewest is Denver with only 5 (yet another reason for God's displeasure to my way of thinking).
Hope all ya'll find this interesting.
