Dale Lehman

Just one short correction. HE DOES BLEED BLUE AND WHITE!!!!!

by guybee11 on Jan 15, 2012 9:59 AM EST reply actions

I figured that's what you meant

although there was a certain poetic quality to “he does not but bleed Blue and White;” you could just substitute “naught” for “not.”

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that you can edit your Fanposts after you post them, so you can fix the above if you wish.

The depth of both my sadness and anger is unfathomable.

We (Still) Are...

guybee, what are Dale's views?

I am trying not to simply vote “anti-incumbent” so would like to hear candidates’ views on governance, crisis management, etc.

"Make haste to reassure us, I beg you, and tell us that our fellow citizens understand us, support us, and protect us as we ourselves are protecting the glory of the Empire.

same here

I really don’t care about what they have done in their professional career as much as how they view PSU should be governed.

Info on the way...

84 (and 9931 below), I am also working on getting the news out about Dale, and I wanted to let you know that we will have a document together either later today or tomorrow morning with his stance on the issues you have outlined above. I certainly understand where you are coming from, we don’t want someone just looking for a leg up or someone that is going to carry on the same issues that have so many of us upset. Thanks for your curiousity and stay tuned. We Are!

Joseph Vincent Paterno may not be the BOT's head coach, but he is still MY Head Coach!

PENN STATE!

Feels good to continue saying that!

Thanks, 09, for the update, and will be looking for the policy statement. We need to avoid jumping from the frying pan into the fire . . . .

Update

Dale has put together some of this thoughts and will also be running for the nomiation of a group on Facebook. I have all of the info on my gmail/facebook sites, but unfortunately those are blocked at work, so I hope to post this evening.

Quick run down on what is happening with this nomination. A group has asked that anyone interested submit a resume and several letters of rec to this site so that the members can narrow down some names. I think it’s a great idea to push a lot of support behind some worthy candidates (and hopefully protect us from the same old people and ideas being voted into the BoT). I apologize again for not having the names on me, but I’ll be sure to post that info soon. Once again, thanks for taking the time to make a difference!

Joseph Vincent Paterno. That is all.

Advisory Board for Va Tech

Must be a 5 star elite nominee.

Black shoes, basic blues, no names, all game.

We may have to consolidate trustee nominee posts, now that the election is getting nearer.

I don’t want the site to get overrun with what are essentially campaign advertisements, but I know it’s an important issue to many people.

Thanks, Chris.

I think it’s important to have a calm forum to discuss/review potential BoT candidates — the environment outside BSD walls is still plenty radioactive.

Nominations ballot deadline Feb 25. Actual election ballot to be distributed April 10.

Could gather up a lot of discussions in that time period w/o some organization, especially in light of other activist groups which have been mentioned here and there.

One thing I worry about this year:

about 100 names on the ballot, as everyone sees this as their golden opportunity to get on the board.

Until the board changes their relationship with the university and their power structure, people getting elected are still going to be on the outside looking in.

Yep.

And the stench of opportunism of this whole thing turns me off. It’s hard to tell who’s doing this for their own personal power grab, and who is truly interested in improving matters.
