Recruiting Weekend Pool: Who Wants To Have Some Fun?
We'll have more coverage tomorrow morning, but the over/under for number of commits to Penn State this weekend has been set at 3.5. Now it's time for the fun, WITH PRIZES!
Here's where we're looking for your guess (over/under), and first correct entry wins a prize. Your guess will include: whether the number of commits that occur by Monday night (to give the recruits a day at home to "discuss" with mom and dad) at 9p will be over or under 3.5, and the order of those commitments.
One entry per person, entries must be in by the first commitment (the timing of which is a gamble as well).
Good luck, and may the best PSUJunny win!

It'll be out in the morning. That was part of the fun posting this now.
Wanted to see if anyone wanted to give it a stab early.

Armani Reeves
Did he speak with FightOnState today or is that from before the visit? The timing will make a huge difference in where I come down on this.
I think Akeel commits, which is huge. I think Brent Williams lets Cam do what he thinks is best, which is the right thing to do. Anyway, when did Reeves talk to FOS?
on FOS he talks about his "in home" visit, which happened last night? I think
i don’t have 10 dollars to find out what was said. It’s bad enough that I follow some of these guys on twiiter. It’s lame I tell ya

I have the $10
but I don’t care what was said.
Not snarking on you Tobias, or bashing recruiting Junny. It’s necessary to cover it, it’s cool to get excited about it, it’s lame to obsess over it.

To each his own, and everyone understands that.
You think it’s lame to obsess over recruiting (would be interested to see your definition of obsess), I think it’s lame to watch the Real Housewives of Anything, yet both industries exist. C’est la vie.

I'm sure I could explain it better in person
It boils down to the fact that I was “under the radar” and outperformed countless big time recruits.
I’m a hater is all.
So many of these kids flame out, never get their grades in order, miss home and leave, get hurt, etc. It’s hard for me to get excited until they do something at PSU. So a kid runs a 4.35 40 and scored 9 touchdowns against Neshaminy High. Awesome. Let me know how he does against Ohio State.
"my dad says Michigan used to be good"
Completely understood.
And that’s essentially the crux of the stars vs. non-stars debate. Though everyone wants to see them turn out to be stars at Penn State, so I guess we can all agree on that point.

He and Cam are in Columbus right now.
BOB is trying to get his in-home with them, and they’re slated to visit next weekend.

Monday
And it was only a couple coaches, not BOB. Head coaches are only allowed one in-home visit per recruit, so the plan is to try and get BOB in-home ASAP. Given that he’s in Foxboro, it shouldn’t be too hard. Then they headed to Columbus the middle of this week, and (hopefully) head to State College next weekend.

too bad there is only one Heisman Trophey to give out a year
Reporter: Can you give us a touchdown celebration, one that you would get penalized for?
Moye: I play at Penn State. I don’t celebrate.
and supposedly they left out some of the "grittier" parts

What happened to the BSD College Bowl Game 2011 (Cause today is the day Is the day that I have always dreamed of, forever) U'Pick'um?
Was that orchestrated by BSD??? anyway, there were talks of PRIZES and I don’t remember anyone crowning Bubalicious (i think that’s right) the winner. If that wasn’t by a BSD writer/admin then never mind.
So I’m skeptical of prizes and congrats to Bubalicious you magnificent bastard.

We don’t have official prizes, but I think I can dig something up for ol’ Bubalicious.

anywho, i say we get 5 commits. No basis for that, but i almost cut my finger off with a bread knife last night… but i DIDNT cut it off, so i’m taking that as a good omen.

With a bread knife?
That seems like a high degree of difficulty. I’ve almost done it with a Wusthof chef’s knife, but that sucker is sharp.
Quick question for Junny, does Wartman count in the tally? I assume not, but just want to be sure. Without him, I say 4 by Monday, with Cam and AR recommitting next week.

He was in the 15 commits (that technically also include Armani and Cam).

RECOMMITTTTEEEDDDD!
And we’re on our way.

Reported by Mark Brennan (what is he, FOS?), Donnie Collins (Scranton Times-Tribune), Tim Owen and Ryan Snyder (BWI).
Sounds like the origin is that he told the Times-Tribune he made his decision between PSU-Rutgers, and it is PSU again.

I know they got Skype and whatever, but will the new prospects commit before actually meeting BOB in person?
Almost certainly.

If cam would have met with BOB this coming week like he said he was going to do, then flipped, id be okay with it. It’s kinda crappy how this is going down. His dad played for the pats!! Still nothing from Reeves. If they were going together I bet we would have heard it by now.

Wasn't Cam one of the recruits that were told they couldn't visit..
one weekend because there’s a limit.
Mabe he committed just so he could de-commit in February – kinda like a ‘eff u Urban’
Joseph V. Paterno has left an impression on my soul that wil never, EVER go away.
My predictions
For initial commits from this weekends visits:
1. Warner
2. Williams
3. Laurent
4. Lynch
5. Davis
I think Lynch would be a nice add.
Keep that RB pipeline stoked.
