Excellent read. I think this sentiment, this generational difference between those in the media and Paterno, is not played up enough in the debate about his handling of the Sandusky scandal. One of the first nights after the scandal broke, Coach K gave a great statement at one of his press conferences. Had a similar tone to it, but unfortunately media outlets traded sensationalist garbage for sound analysis from a smart, honorable man (say what you will about Duke but Coach K is excellent). In short, good read about a topic which cannot get lost when trying to define JoePa's legacy and also wrap your mind around the past few months.
