A Really Nice Article On Our Current Recruiting Class
A comforting read, that also has a great one-liner as well:
"Though the Sandusky scandal has nothing to do with NCAA rules, NCAA president Mark Emmert felt the need to insert himself into a headline-generating story by issuing a weird letter announcing that the NCAA would investigate Penn State in the wake of the scandal."

I admit it.
I cried when I read that Bench cried after walking into Beaver Stadium.
WE ARE . . . for a whole new generation.
"Make haste to reassure us, I beg you, and tell us that our fellow citizens understand us, support us, and protect us as we ourselves are protecting the glory of the Empire.
"If it should be otherwise, if we should have to leave our bleached bones on these desert sands in vain, then beware the fury of the Legions."
It is amazing how the narrative has changed
From every article despising Penn State and the downfall of the University and program, to people writing and seemingly rooting for the program to survive and flourish. I am encouraged by this and I agree with the statement of “Penn State doesn’t need stars, it needs bricks”.
"That's why you don't play! 'Cuz you're no good!" -Joe Paterno
We all knew that would happen eventually
It is typical of the unethical news cycle. Incite anger and fear to get people watching. Then, tell heartwarming stories of rebuilding from the ashes to keep people watching. I honestly believe none of these jokers actually believe any of the crap they are writing, they are just trying to get page views to seel advertising.
You are 100% correct
I am not giving credit to these scumbags…I never will again

"But Penn State doesn't need recruiting stars in this class. It needs bricks."
This is a great line, and one that I believe that we have achieved.
I have a bias here, having played (poorly) on a prep school football team, but the academic standards of the schools recruited in this class appear second to none:
DeMatha, Calvert Hall, Cheshire Academy, New Hampton School, Gilman School, Hun School . . .
After hearing Charlie Pittman talking about he and his son both being academic all Americans, I got very excited about this class. I know that these are not all five star or even four star recruits, but each of these high schools will likely have drilled integrity into its students and student athletes in particular. Integrity is exactly what we need on this team right now to form a base for the next sixty five years.

I think this class will forever have a name:
The Bricks.
