Pennsylvania DB Demetrious Cox Will Announce College Choice Tonight
The four finalists include Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Post-Gazette thinks it's Michigan State, while others feel he'll end up in Happy Valley.
He will announce live on the Pittsburgh CBS affiliate (KDKA) during the sports segment of the 6 o'clock news.
Either way, this should be the only big news for Penn State fans for the next few days. Signing Day will be relatively quiet, which is probably a good thing.

Neither do I.
Plus with the way things have gone this year…well, it just doesn’t seem like anything has been or will break PSU’s way.
Based on the fact that someone's turning it into a media event...
not sure he’s a Penn State man, anyway.
maybe if we offered him a jersey with his name on it...
I dunno.
Everything I’ve heard about, read, and seen of this kid has been good. Unlike the last top recruit from his high school, who I heard from a Jeannette guy in Pryor’s junior year that he was “not a good kid…not horrible, but not good either”. Cox, on the other hand (no pun intended), seems to be pretty level headed.
But of course if he announces PSU
then I’m fine with a big press conference.
I’m nothing if not inconsistent. Some of the time.
COME TO PENN SCHHHHTTAAAAATE!
or don’t if you don’t see fit

For the non-locals
can we get some confirmation comments on here relatively quickly?
I read on wikipedia and twitter
that he is going to Indiana State.

I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I watched the news.
Local or national. It’s hard to say which is worse…I guess the local because it’s all weather and Steelers. Anyway, thank goodness the internet has freed me of having to listen to others tell me what to see, hear, and think.
Yeah, nobody has an opinion on the internet.

You get all sides from the internet, not just a single slanted one.
From that potpourri I can then make up my own mind.
Fair.
But all the sides are batshit insane.

Wait a second
I read somewhere, Cox listed his criteria for schools.
1.) Opportunity for a great education
2.) Playing time
There are a couple others, but I stopped there. I’ll put a PSU degree up against a MSU degree any day. Oh, and then there’s that thing where Penn State’s entire starting defensive backfield graduated this year.
If he chooses East Lansing, I’m gonna guess that wasn’t really his criteria.
There's a reason he narrowed it to four Big Ten schools.

Pompeiani said he had 51 offers.
These four big ten schools and the rest were directional Michigan programs.

They just did a quick cut-to promo, didn't see any hats.
He’s got a full track suit on, so it could be a take-off-the-jacket-show-the-jersey kind of announcement. Or maybe he pulls a Nittany Lion out of a hat.

Well, if it is indeed, Sparty...
At least they’re not on the schedule ’til 2015, earliest. Barring of course, PSU faces them in the B1G Championship Game.

It's 6:44. What's da newz?
"The Braves could use [Loney] at first base to help back up Freddie Freeman, and in return the Dodgers could get Tommy Hanson from the Braves."
Michigan still sucks!
It is easy to go down into Hell; night and day, the gates of dark Death stand wide; but to climb back again, to retrace one's steps to the upper air - there's the rub, the task.

Which was a minute ago
"The Braves could use [Loney] at first base to help back up Freddie Freeman, and in return the Dodgers could get Tommy Hanson from the Braves."
Patience.
TV doesn’t always run right on time. The sports guy probably pulled 6:45 from his rundown. It’s rare that things are right on time that late in a show.
Decision 2.0?
"The Braves could use [Loney] at first base to help back up Freddie Freeman, and in return the Dodgers could get Tommy Hanson from the Braves."

I agree with you
But with our new look defense, and the possibility we may actually blitz a DB every now and then, it would’ve been nice to see Cox penetrate and get to the QB.
What I can't help but wonder is
did the coaching staff even pursue any of the big names hard? I’ll take the lumps this year, but the fanbase isn’t used to being all but shutout with regards to big time recruits.
Frankly, I am glad
BOB and others gave up on pursuing Cox.
Leave that to MSU.

was that Cox got a little bent about where we were attempting to insert him. Happens all the time.
Will they have to slip Cox in through the back door?

I guess in the grand scheme of things, it's for the best
When you’re trying to win football games, it’s best to keep Cox and Kuntz separated.
