Once again, Penn St. shows it's clueless
CLUELESS is a great description of Bill Reiter and his article
"First we had Paterno — after his failure to do enough to stop the grotesque abuse that is alleged to have occurred — leading a pep rally in his front yard because he and his sycophantic followers were still focused on things other than the children. Even the journalists without the guts to speak truth to JoePa power were smart enough to disappear quickly as could be.
Even cowards, when assessing things properly, can see the moral handwriting on the wall.
So why can’t so much of Penn State?"

So a couple of players and a few fans are
Penn State being “clueless”.
Wow such power. All they need is a Penn State connection and They Are – PENN STATE.
Wonder whatever happened to the measure of intelligence required to know that a few do not necessarily represent the whole Bill? CLUELESS – that’s you Bill

It seems that all these "writers" (let's be real, they aren't even "reporters")
Seem to have this belief that human beings can only care about one thing strongly at any given moment in time.
The players, the students outside Joe’s house on those nights, they all cared and felt deeply for the victims. But we also cared deeply for a man we felt had been wronged, and we knew his name. While we couldn’t grieve for each individual victim without knowing their names, we did you know, hold a vigil with thousands of students in support.
I am Sandy's bitch.

You can care for Joe and the Second Mile victims? Really?
Where is that sarcasm font when I need it?

I am against child sexual assault.
However, I am not against sodomizing Bill Reiter with a pine cone.

P.S.
The players and fans complaining that O’Brien is not a "Penn State man" — like the students who stood on Paterno’s lawn and chanted, "We are Penn State!" instead of dwelling on the darkness infecting their school — seem not understand that football is not some religion that trumps all truths.
Yeah, these students should have swelled on the darkness infecting their school.

It’s a shame they didn’t.

Let's wrap that pine cone in barbed wire and heat it up
while we’re at it

I say freeze it
so the barbed wire sticks to the skin, like Flick’s tongue on that flagpole

Thanks Bill
I was just starting to feel comfortable again wearing PSU clothing, talking to folks about PSU, not feeling like I was guilty by association to everyone that would criticize my school and degree. Thanks for opening up the wounds again. Thanks for reminding the masses that I am a monster for graduating from the school. Thanks for profiling all 500,000 alumni as insensitize pedophile enablers due to the comments of a few.

Bill - one more thing:
I’m also a Boy Scout leader, an active member of my church, and German. So if you want to write a flaming article criticizing an entire group of people based on the actions of a few, you could use on of these topics. Thanks.

The ladies do love a man in uniform!
He completed 17 of individuals 26 passes for 192 lanscaping your yard and two touchdowns - Chan Luu
Made a point of wearing PSU gear while shopping yesterday
… and got a couple compliments. More than normal for here in Ohio.
I’m at the point where the “group-guilt” mind set that the administration seems to want to portray stops NOW. I am Penn State proud and will cheerfully explain why to anyone that cares to discuss it intelligently. Jagoffs like Bill Reiter are disgraceful – I got through his first couple paragraphs before closing the window. Not worth the time.

one of my best friends (and Iowa grad) was on a plane from IA to DC today
and sat next to a guy decked out in PSU gear. He said they had a nice long chat about that plus other stuff. He’s a great guy and incredibly supportive of us (my IA friend I mean) and I was really happy that people are still sporting their gear, and that apparently this guy wasn’t given any lip about it.

The ability of people to see one thing
Then use it to write 1500 words passing judgment on 500,000 people is simply amazing to me. Moreover, the people who said those things were rebuked, and then they both sebsequently recanted their opinions.

Ain't that the truth jesse
That kind of thinking is so insane – and this guy actually vomits it out in public as if it could be reasonable??
It’s like admitting being a sociopath – I blame everyone associated with a group or institution – for the statement of an individual who happens to be associated? How sick is that?

Fox Sports. Is that a division of Fox News?
If so, that explains it all right there.

The silver lining:
Say what you will about anyone in this whole mess… the idea of a football coach leading thousands of students in an aggressively pro-rape pep rally on his front lawn is really, really funny.

Pretty sure I sounded like a tool but this is what flowed from my rage...
Boy you couldn’t be more right! I’ll tell ya who was REALLY clueless was the founding fathers! I mean what the hell were they thinking when they came up with something called DUE PROCESS? I sure do yearn for a society where we just drag people out and behead them in a public forum to slake a collective bloodlust fueled by unscrupulous "reporters" and "journalists" who seem to have forgotten about pesky little inconveniences like LAWS and FACTS and ETHICS (which one would THINKG you would have a firm grasp on considering all the out-holying you and your cohort all been doing for the past 2 months). Wait, wait… I think we are already there – thanks to mindless media whores like you.
On a less sarcastic note please answer me this – how is our so-called "knee-jerk" support of our coach who has been nothing short of a great man for more than eight decades and MAY OR MAY NOT have done ANYTHING wrong morally and DID NOT do anything illegal in this whole situation any different from all you media whores’ KNEE-JERK calls to condemn him? Don’t think on it too hard because I don’t want you to get a headache – the difference is a little thing I mentioned in the sarcasm phase of this e-mail called DUE PROCESS. Otherwise known as taking the high road by informing ourselves and allowing the legal process to bring all the FACTS to light instead of reading opinionated slanderous filth like the brand you peddle and allowing you to make up our minds for us. DUE PROCESS. Look it up, Willy.
