Another week of college football is in the books and it's time again to try and make sense of the chaos.
When every game counts or is supposed to, you have to show up every week or find yourself wanting, Stanford became the latest team falling victim to this maxim after taking a loss from Washington. This weekend is full of meaningful match-ups between teams higher up in the ranks that should go a long way to getting a better sense of the pecking order, however that's seldom how it works out. We learned Penn State carries a grudge and gets a shot at a ranked team for Homecoming as a reward, as others are now taking note of Northwestern too even though they've been one of the few Big Ten squads performing all season. Take a look at the ballot and remember, questions, corrections, suggestions and objections are always welcome.
Minnesota falls from the unbeatens and out of the BlogPoll, but the rest of the bottom remains unchanged. LSU takes the plunge following yet another underwhelming performance, against an
Division I-AA FCS squad this time out. Ohio is doing the same. Baylor pushed West Virginia in Morgantown to the limit and didn't fall even with the loss. Cincinnati makes an appearance after an "elite" victory. Games of note this week include: Alabama at Missouri, South Carolina at Georgia, West Virginia at Texas, Washington at Oregon, LSU at Florida, Nebraska at Ohio State and Arizona at Stanford.
Lasty, Tim Beckman. Fuck yo couch.
