I am not use if this has been said because, frankly, I am too stupid to figure out the new format of Black Shoe Diaries and it took me forever just to find where to put a fan post, so I can no longer navigate the site properly, BUT, I hereby put forth the following proposal:
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT, in recognition of the solidarity and dedication of those Penn State Football Players that stuck it out through this season are hereby recognized with the extraordinary reward of placement of their names on their jerseys; and
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT all recruits and prospects who pledge commitment to and/or transfer into The Penn State Football Program, who do so during the period when the unfair, arbitrary and capricious sanctions exist shall similarly be given this privilege during their entire Penn State career.
UPON THE EXPIRATION OF THE SANCTIONS, the above recognized players will STILL be permitted to wear their names on their jerseys as a sign of our undying gratitude, BUT ALL NEW PLAYERS WHO COMMIT OR TRANSFER AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF THE SANCTIONS will agree to abide by the maxim:
"It is not the name on the back of the jersey that matters, its the name on the front (even though, technically, we don't have a name there, uhhh, that would sound a lot more inspiring if NITTANY LIONS was emblazoned on the front)
And therefore, the names for those new players and all for the future would be removed.
So, you know, the idea is to make these recruits and transfers feel as special as i feel they are.
