Frazier was selected to the preseason first team All-Big Ten today at Big Ten media day.
Penn State senior point guard Tim Frazier was awarded a spot on the preseason All-Big Ten team. He joins the preseason player of the year, Cody Zeller, from Indiana, DeShaun Thomas and Aaron Craft from Ohio State, and Trey Burke from Michigan. The preseason team was announced at Big Ten media day today in Chicago.
Frazier returns as the top scorer (18.8 PPG) and assist man (6.2 APG) in the Big Ten. He was also named to the All-Defensive team last year after averaging 2.4 steals a game. After his absurd season last year, it's hard to argue that this selection was not deserved.
Indiana was picked as the preseason favorite in the Big Ten. Considering they're the preseason #1, this is not a surprise. Michigan and Ohio State rounded out the top three, which is all the Big Ten officially releases. Penn State was picked 11th, ahead of Nebraska. Here's the unofficial poll:
1. Indiana
2. Michigan
3. Ohio State
4. Michigan State
5. Wisconsin
6. Minnesota
7. Iowa
8. Purdue
9. Illinois
10. Northwestern
11. Penn State
12. Nebraska
