This was a BIG win for Penn State. It wasn't just that the Nittany Lions beat a top-10 Ohio State team in the Horseshoe. It was that they shut out the Buckeyes, who were actually favored by 5-6 over the visitors. In Lou Prato's Penn State Football Encyclopedia, it even references Ohio State beat writers calling for the Buckeyes to blow out the Nittany Lions.
