Another week of college football is in the books and it's time again to try and make sense of the chaos.
Boom went the dynamite. Every season there hits a point where there's weekend where a disproportionate number of teams all take losses. Some are understandable and others less so, but the result is always the same. I punch the numbers in and throw my hands up in the air. The Top 5 is comfortably set and following that is basically where all logic ceases in the BlogPoll. It's a mess no matter which angle you look at it and there's no amount of lipstick that's going to dress up this pig. Take a look at the ballot and remember, questions, corrections, suggestions and objections are always welcome.
Should Louisville be ranked even higher? Maybe, there's something to be said about still being undefeated at this point. Regardless how many cupcakes your schedule is packed with, you still have to take care of business. Ask Florida State how difficult that task is to accomplish. Oklahoma and Texas Tech both have two losses to quality teams. I can't drop Florida below LSU. Sigh, it's finally time to admit Notre Dame is for real after a road victory in Norman. Are they MNC caliber? No, however their insufferable fans will scream otherwise and, really, they should know since most have been paying attention to the Fighting Irish for a whole of perhaps 12 weeks in the last decade. Games of note this week include: Alabama at LSU, Oklahoma State at Kansas State, Oregon at USC and Texas A&M at Mississippi State.
